For over 45 Years KCI has been a specialized utility contractor across Southwestern/Central Pennsylvania. Our areas of expertise include water and wastewater infrastructure development as well as bridge construction. We have been recognized both locally and nationally for our work in the utility construction industry.

We are seeking a dependable and efficient Class A CDL Lowboy truck driver who is willing to join the exceptional team in our family-owned business. The position is based out of our Export, PA location. This is a full-time position, local travel, no weekends and no overnight travel.

Must be organized, detail oriented and comfortable working independently. A clean driving record and commercial driving experience is required. Permitted Oversized wide loads and heavy haul is occasionally needed.

Duties

• Check vehicles daily to ensure mechanical, safety and emergency equipment is in good working order.
• Tie down loads appropriately and always inspect before transport.
• Work between the main shop and foremen to deliver loads.
• Maintain DOT vehicle logs. If required
• Follow all safety procedures and make safety a priority at all times.
• Collect delivery instructions from appropriate sources, verifying instructions and routes.
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks, such as adding oil, fuel, or radiator fluid or performing minor repairs.
• Have firm understanding of the area we serve and be willing to learn all of the jobsite locations.

Requirements and Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) required
• 2+ years proven experience in Lowboy truck driving
• Understanding of operating heavy equipment

• Physically and mentally fit
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. at a time
• Possess physical stamina and focus during driving shifts
• Able to climb on and off of machines to load and unload
• Able to run equipment enough to load and unload
