Description

Essential Knowledge

  1. Ability to disassemble and reassemble large machines (excavators, dozers, loaders, etc.).
  2. Experience with machine undercarriages.
  3. Experience with hydraulic and cylinder repair.
  4. Diagnose, repair, and rebuild on/off road vehicles and equipment.
  5. Order parts from approved sources; some computer skills required.
  6. Strong hydraulic knowledge of pumps, valves, cylinders and the computer interfaces.
  7. Electrical knowledge of vehicles and equipment.
  8. Welding and light fabrication experience a plus.
  9. Perform inspections and preventive maintenance. A Pennsylvania inspection license not required.
  10. Prepare maintenance records; light computer skills needed.
  11. Must have suitable tools; specialty tools are provided.

Required Qualifications

  1. High school diploma or equivalent required.
  2. Trade school or work at equipment dealers a plus but not mandatory.
  3. At least five (3) years of heavy equipment experience preferred.
  4. Able to read parts/service manuals; understand schematics.
  5. Able to work with other technicians to keep a safe and friendly environment.
  6. Must be a self-motivated individual wanting to progress.
  7. Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen; pre-employment criminal and employer background checks will be conducted.
  8. Current valid driver’s license required, as well as reliable transportation to get to work. CDL endorsement a plus.

Essential Physical and Mental Capabilities

Requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching for extended periods of time.

Work Hours

This is a full-time position with the following work hours:

Working Day/Hours:

Week One: Monday thru Thursday: 6:30 am-5 pm (10 hours each day)

Week Two: Monday thru Thursday: 7 am-4:30; Friday: 7am-12pm (few hours of OT)
