Position Summary

Accurately enter parts from inventory via data entry of vendor invoices and shop work orders. Charge shop expenses to proper accounting codes & outside vendor work orders.

Job Duties

  • Create work orders
  • Data entry
  • Checking and pulling filters from stock to fill work orders
  • Order parts when needed.
  • Review work orders in entry status, make sure they all get set to “complete” as soon as work is completed.
  • Send back stale parts.
  • Sorting and marking parts.
  • Filing
  • Pricing for availability of parts or outside repairs as needed.
  • Perform additional clerical, administrative, and shop duties at the discretion of management.
  • Add parts removed from parts room to work order, as they come out the door – All parts leaving the parts room must be on an active work order in Viewpoint.
  • Receive parts from vendors, check that the entire order is accurate BEFORE signing for parts.
  • Advise mechanics when parts arrive – or parts ordered for stock if a mechanic has advised they are waiting.

Qualifications

  • Must possess computer and data entry experience.
  • Understanding and applying accounting principles as well as basic math skills.
  • Able to learn and navigate Viewpoint software system.
  • Must be able to read and write legibly.
  • Organized, detail oriented and work well under pressure.
  • PA Driver’s License
  • Good knowledge of repairs and parts.

Essential Physical and Mental Capabilities

  • Able to sit and use computer keyboard for up to 8 hours per day.
  • Arrive on time and maintain excellent attendance.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen, criminal and employer background checks.
  • Excellent communication skills required.

Education and Skills

  • High School Diploma
  • Computer efficient with Microsoft Office Products
  • Experience in equipment shop and repairs
