Summary/Objective

We are currently looking for career-oriented, experienced Road/Field Based Heavy Equipment Mechanic to work with our team to support our growing operations in the region. This opportunity is with a well-established, highly regarded company that treats their employees like family. Experienced Mechanics who take pride in their work are encouraged to apply. Essential Functions

  • Diagnose heavy equipment malfunctions and conduct repairs in a timely fashion to maximize equipment uptime.
  • Diagnose, repair and rebuild on/off road vehicles and equipment.
  • Perform inspections and preventive maintenance on vehicles and machinery. A PA inspection license is not required.
  • Prepare maintenance records.
  • Work includes new to older equipment, all brands and types.

Qualifications

  • Strong hydraulic knowledge of pumps, valves, cylinders and the computer interfaces.
  • DEF and DPF Knowledge.
  • Electrical knowledge of vehicles and equipment.
  • Welding and light fabrication a plus.
  • Able to read parts/service manuals and understand schematics.
  • Basic computer skills to use laptop computer and smart devices required.
  • Valid PA Driver’s license; CDL Class B.
  • Need to possess tools, including but not limited to 3/4" driver air guns, ratchets, sockets, as well as up to 2" wrenches. Specialty tools are provided.
  • Must be self-sufficient, be able to order parts, deal with foremen to make schedule their own.

Experience

  • 5+ Years of related heavy equipment repair experience preferred.
  • Hydraulic cranes, directional drilling equipment, hydraulic excavator, mini to 100K+, rubber tire and track loaders, concrete equipment, road mills, etc.
  • Previous experience with cranes and drilling equipment a plus.

Compensation

  • Highly competitive hourly rate based on experience.
